Structural Reviews
Load Checks
Load reviews can be conducted for any new heavy loads, equipment, or changes in use. If required, our office can also produce design drawings to temporarily shore a structure as needed .
Analysis, design, and reinforcement of structural elements to safely support and distribute various loads, ensuring the integrity and stability of the overall structure.
Assessments
Comprehensive examination of the existing structural elements to evaluate their condition, identify potential issues, and provide recommendations for maintenance, repairs, or improvements. This could be required for a Physical Condition Assessment (PCA), pre-construction and post-construction surveys, a general review of existing conditions, or to provide asset management services for upcoming repairs.
Coring Reviews
We visit the site to meet with the Contractor involved to review the scan results and their layout, where we can discuss details while on site before finalizing our structural findings in a formal report.
Evaluation of x-ray film or GPR/EM scan results on site to determine if the proposed core-drilled holes are structurally acceptable for a project.
Corrosion Reviews
Corrosion can be found at several areas of a building. Steel roof beams and joists, column baseplates, parking garage slabs, and structural members near the building envelope are all subject to potential corrosion.
We can visit the site to provide a thorough examination of the extent and impact of corrosion on the beams, assessing their load-bearing capacity, and providing recommendations for mitigation and localized repair design.
