Independent and comprehensive evaluation of a project or work by professionals in the same field to assess its quality, adherence to standards, and identify potential improvements or concerns is essential for life safety and security.

Per the PEO requirements, we notify parties involved and strive to work alongside the other engineering team to come to the fastest resolution.

Design for Artwork

Members of our team have been lucky enough to be involved with several art projects across Canada. This includes aesthetically pleasing structural designs for new artwork installations to ensure the stability, safety, and visual impact of artistic structures. This work includes both permanent and temporary artwork.

We work with the artist and their team to bring their vision to life, rather than opposed to them.

Signage Reviews

Developing a safe and visually appealing support structure to ensure the stability and effective display of signage elements. We can work with the team of consultants to assess the existing conditions and design the structural supports required for the proposed signage.

Alternatively, we can work as the third party to review the base building structure for the loading imposed by the new signage.

Legal Reviews & Expert Witness

Specialized testimony and analyses in legal proceedings, offering professional opinions on structural matters to assist in resolving disputes, claims, or litigation related to construction and engineering.

This can be through a legal team during arbitration or in court.

Stairs

Innovative and aesthetically pleasing staircase solutions, ensuring both visual appeal and structural integrity in architectural spaces. We often work directly with the architect involved to create new slab openings, design localized reinforcement as required, and provide the interconnecting stair design.

We also review the feasibility of removing an existing stair and its structural framing, depending on the team’s needs..

Elevators

Sp Engineering the support systems and components necessary for the safe and efficient elevator components within a building. We work directly with the elevator supplier to determine the loading imposed, analyze the new structural support system, and then provide design drawings accordingly.
